The conference was organized by BelSU Institute of Engineering Technologies and Natural sciences.

During the conference, 217 reports would be presented by 225 authors from six countries and 20 cities of Russia. Students, graduate students and young researchers have gathered to discuss urgent problems of the theory and practice in modern high technologies, to share natural-science, engineering and economic researches concerning industry, equipment, medicine and agriculture.

Giving an opening speech at the conference, the Principal of BelSU Oleg Polukhin has noticed that our time is characterized by rapid development of high technologies.

"Competitiveness of the modern state, level of its economic development substantially is defined by quality of his engineering manpower, – he said. – Requirements, which were formed at modern labor market define the necessity of training of flexible professionals capable to be engaged in design, research activity in the sphere of engineering technologies and natural sciences in the conditions of the accelerated development of technologies. All employers wait activity and competence from the university graduates”.

The principal has wished young researchers successful work at the conference. He has expressed confidence that such meetings will become traditional and will help young people to experience new opportunities, reveal their talents, and exchange experience.

At the plenary session, The academician of RAS, director of the Federal research center "Informatics and Management" of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the research supervisor of BelSU Institute of Engineering Technologies and Natural sciences Igor Sokolov has told about a role of information technologies in modern scientific research. He addressed young researchers, and said that they have made a right choice, when connected the life with science.

"BelSU is a very noticeable point in Russian Federation, – Sokolov said. – According to many experts, it takes the leading positions among universities of the country. Students who study here are very lucky".

The first youth conference will last for two days. It includes various panel meetings and reports.
