The most popular programs of the year are fundamental medicine, IT, pedagogical sciences, philosophy, ethics and religious studies.

Enrollment is conducted for 23 directions and 51 educational programs on full-time courses and in 20 directions and 41 educational programs on extramural studies.

Acceptance of applications for extramural studies comes to the end on September 9, entrance tests are carried out from September 10 to September 15.

Today over 700 postgraduates study at BelSU. They have an opportunity to pursue scientific achievements in the laboratories with the latest equipment under the leadership of the leading scientists. At the university 14 academicians of RAS, 1200 doctors and candidates of science work.

BelSU has 17 dissertation councils. 217 master's theses and 14 doctor's have been defended from 2014 to 2016 in dissertation councils of the university.

In the national rating of the universities and the rating of the Ministry of ��è��Ƶ and Science of the Russian Federation of BelSU is among twenty of the best universities of the country. In June Belgorod State University was included into one of the most prestigious world rankings – the Shanghai subject rating, having taken 76-100 position on subject category "Metallurgy" in the section "Physical Sciences".
