Traditional healthy lifestyle-promoting events took place at BelSU to rise students’ awareness of the dangers of smoking, alcoholism and drug addiction.

“Within a month we have used various forms of work with students, – the head of cultural and educational activity department Lyudmila Medvedeva said. – In dormitories, at institutes and departments we placed educational posters; we distributed anti-addiction newsletters, we held competitions of handmade etc”.

BelSU Students’ Union made a video about promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Lectures, seminars "Problems of harmful addictions among young people" are held, debates "We choose life!", volunteer stocks "Life with the “+” sign, all-faculty exercise "Healthy. Gifted. Cheerful", Days of health, seminars trainings "Addiction problems in modern society", discussions "healthy Lifestyle: challenges of the 21st century", conversations.

Besides, students prepared reports and the presentations on the disastrous impact of narcotics on the person. In hostels of the university the discussion about harm of smoking admixtures was held.

The group of BelSU volunteers "Goryachie Serdza" took part in the regional event dedicated to the World No Tobacco Day. The events will go on till December 6. Lectures on prophylaxis of HIV and AIDS, posters competitions, the collecting of donations for seriously ill children etc will be held.
