International students of Belgorod State University introduced their Russian colleagues to the traditions of celebrating New Year and Christmas in the Latin American countries. Students from Russia, Haiti, Egypt, China, Colombia, Equatorial Guinea, Ecuador, Mongolia gathered for the impromptu Christmas conference.

The event was organized by the students of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations – Gerreira Perez Saul Santiago, Alomoto Bravo Kasturi Lizbet, Loaiza Solorzano Silvia Fatima from Ecuador, students of the Institute of Economics and Management – Alvarez Ardila Huaira, Rojas Vazquez Juan Manuel from Colombia, and a student of Preparatory Department – Daire Stella Sigrid Quast from Argentina.

Students made a presentation about unusual Christmas and New Year superstitions and traditions, taught the guests Christmas carols in Spanish, held a competition for the best Christmas song, and gave sweet souvenirs with good predictions and wishes for the year 2023.
