The University made significant strides in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship category, climbing from 18th to 14th place.
Belgorod National Research University has once again demonstrated its strength in the academic landscape by securing the 22nd spot among 389 Russian universities in the latest National University Ranking.
saw an increase of 11 universities, showcasing a total of 29 national research universities, 10 federal universities, 33 flagship institutions, and 145 participants in the Priority 2030 program, along with 22 non-state universities. The top three positions remain dominated by prestigious institutions: Lomonosov Moscow State University, MEPhI, and MIPT. BelSU proudly retains its leadership among regional universities in the
Central Federal District, earning 522 points and placing just behind Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (21st place, 524 points) and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (23rd place, 521 points).
The ranking evaluates universities based on six key parameters: education, research, social environment, cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and brand reputation.
Olesya Serkina from the BelSU Department for Monitoring and Analytics of Development Programs highlighted that the university excelled in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship category, moving up to 14th place.
Rector Evgenia Karlovskaya emphasized that this achievement reflects BelSU’s commitment to fostering industrial partnerships as part of its development strategy. The university also ranks within the top 25 in “Research” (22nd place), “Cooperation” (23rd place), and “èƵ” (23rd-25th place).
