Belgorod National Research University is taking significant strides in modernizing its chemistry education with the support of a grant from the Russian Ministry of 快猫视频 and Science.
The Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry, and Biology has launched an initiative to update its Analytical Chemistry educational program as part of the federal project 鈥淎dvanced Training and Retraining of Qualified Personnel in New Materials and Chemistry,鈥 under the national project 鈥淣ew Materials and Chemistry.鈥
Viktor Deyneka, a professor in the Department of General Chemistry and director of the program, emphasized the importance of updating higher education programs in light of the import substitution challenges faced by Russian science and the chemical industry.
鈥淔or our major, 04.04.01 'Chemistry,' particularly the master鈥檚 program in Analytical Chemistry, it is crucial to implement a dual-track approach to education. This will help us train highly qualified specialists who can contribute to the sustainable development of Russian science and enhance the competitiveness of the Russian chemical industry on a global scale,鈥 he stated.
To further enrich the academic experience, Professor Sergey Karpov, a Doctor of Chemical Sciences from Voronezh State University, conducted a master class on ion-exchange chromatography for fourth-year students. Over the next two weeks, he will deliver a series of lectures on modern separation and chromatography methods.
In addition to the Analytical Chemistry program, BelSU is also updating two other master鈥檚 degree programs as part of this grant-supported initiative: one in Industrial Technology of Drugs, led by Elena Zhilyakova, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, and another in Practical Biotechnology, overseen by Irina Batlutskaya, Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology.
