As part of the Open Day at EFKO, a career guidance meeting was held in celebration of All-Russian Chemist's Day.
Final-year chemistry students from Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) had the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge advancements in biotechnological science at the Biruch Innovation Centre, one of the largest facilities of its kind in Russia. During their visit, the students toured various laboratories and production workshops, where they witnessed first-hand the processes involved in developing and producing enzymes. They also learned about the significant role biotechnology plays in the food industry.
The excursion showcased modern laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technology, highlighting the complete production cycle of innovative products. One particularly intriguing aspect was the biotechnological synthesis of sweet proteins, such as brazzein, for which the industrial technology was fully developed at the Biruch Innovation Centre.
For those future chemists interested in employment opportunities, a questionnaire was provided. Based on their responses, the company will extend invitations for job interviews.
